Alberta Rebates
Residents of Edmonton, Alberta, can take advantage of several Energy Rebate programs to upgrade their home’s appliances and systems to be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
City of Edmonton
Solar Rebate
The City is offering Edmonton homeowners $0.40/watt towards the cost of the system, which covers approximately 15% of the costs of going solar! Rebate stacking is allowed with Canada’s Greener Homes Grant program up to a maximum of 100% of the total investment made by the homeowner. Newly constructed homes and residential buildings are also eligible for a City of Edmonton rebate of $0.30/watt.

Energy Rebates
Edmonton’s Home Energy Retrofit Accelerator is a program that helps you understand your home’s energy efficiency and provides rebates for upgrades. Insulation, windows, water and space heating equipment are all eligible for rebates with bonuses available for bigger renovations.
To start the process, an expert comes to your home and provides an EnerGuide Home Energy Evaluation. You will receive professional advice from your energy advisor on how to renovate your home to be more energy efficient. Rebates are available from Canada’s Greener Homes Grant program to help cover the costs of an EnerGuide label and subsequent upgrades to your home.
